Lynne Jones, 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at her home.
Ermalyn Joyce Nease Jones was born March 26, 1930 in Mangum, Oklahoma, the daughter of Elmer and Artie Payne Nease. She was a 1948 graduate of Gravette High School and married Billy Ray Jones in 1950. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1951. She then coached high school girls basketball in Greenville, South Carolina, while Bill was stationed at Donaldson AFB.
Lynne was proud of the fact that she designed and built the custom homes their family lived in while Bill worked for IBM in Little Rock, Arkansas, New Orleans, Louisiana, Mobile, Alabama, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and their final move to Westover Hills in Fort Worth in 1975. Lynne was also a Mary Kay Representative for many years and acknowledged that she probably gave away more than she ever sold. She was a member of University Baptist Church and later Ridglea Baptist Church before her move to The Watermere in Southlake in 2014.
Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse of 58 years, Bill, and her four brothers.
