Obituary of Arlene Anderson Jones

Arlene Anderson Jones, president of Holy Trinity Catholic School, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2017.Arlene Rose Anderson was born on October 22, 1951 in Buffalo, NY, to Raymond Einer Anderson and Rose Elizabeth Williams Anderson. Arlene was a 1969 graduate of Arlington Heights High School and earned a bachelor degree in Music Performance and Education from TCU, and master degrees in Catholic School Leadership from the University of Dallas and in Counseling from the University of North Texas.As president of Holy Trinity, Arlene focused her leadership on Catholic identity, institutional advancement, and business operations. Arlene also served as Head of School and Principal of Reicher Catholic H.S. in Waco and as Academic Dean, Jr. High Principal, Campus Minister, and Director of Choral Studies at Nolan Catholic H.S. On every campus she strengthened the Catholic identity, increased enrollment and increased giving. She also served as a hospital administrator, public school counselor, Director or Liturgy and Music for St. Rita parish, 2nd Chair Viola for the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Arlington Master Chorale.Arlene was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her passion for the Catholic Faith was apparent in everything she did. She gave freely of her time, talent and treasure in an effort to serve her Lord and His Church with her whole self.Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, J. Rob Jones, Jr., and youngest sister, Barbara Doris McClatchy. She is survived by her children, Joshua Jones and Lauren Jones Kerschen, her husband, Chris, and her beloved grandchildren, Audrey Camille and Weston Clarke Kerschen; her sisters, Jean Marie Richerson and husband, William, Joan Elizabeth Posluszny and husband, Walter, and Christine Rae McKown and husband, Mike; brother in law, D. Scott McClatchy and numerous nephews and nieces.
