Obituary of Naoma Hudson Fairweather

Naoma Hudson Fairweather, 88, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at her home in Fort Worth.Naoma was born September 17, 1929 in Iredell, Texas. She grew up and attended public school in Cleburne graduating from Cleburne High School. After finishing business school, she enjoyed a 24-year career as secretary at Daggett Middle School in the Fort Worth ISD, where she enjoyed both the faculty and the students and made many dear friends.Naoma met the love of her life, A.J. Fairweather, just before he left to serve in the Korean war. They were married February 7, 1953, when he returned from the war.She loved to travel, including two trips to Hawaii. She also enjoyed over 20 years in the Circle 8 Square Dance Club, where she established many long-lasting friendships.Naoma was preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine Carr and husband, Phil Carr, and her brother, Bobby Carr.The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Vitas Hospice Care and Home Care Assistance for the wonderful care they gave to Naoma during her final time of need.Survivors: Her husband of 65 years, A.J. Fairweather; son, Philip Fairweather and wife, Kay; brother, John Bill Carr; sister, Geraldine Bing and husband, Bill; as well as several nieces and nephews.
