Obituary of Janet Lee Brooke Cappuccio
Janet Lee Cappuccio died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 following a short battle with cancer after being diagnosed July 1, 2019.Janet Cappuccio was born Janet Lee Brooke, along with twin brother, John Phillips Brooke, on November 9, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lawrence and Josephine Brooke. She graduated from Shawnee Mission High School in Kansas and majored in music at Kansas State.While raising her three children, she moved with her family to states such as California, Georgia, Pennsylvania, etc. She loved many and always made friends easily when she moved.Janet married her best friend, Frank Cappuccio, on November 9, 2003 joining two great families. She moved to her home in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a true matriarch to her family and led every other year reunions to gather the whole group together.She lived an amazing, full life filled with traveling the world, influencing people and giving her time and heart to charitable organizations such as Alliance For Children, Tarrant Area Food Band, the Opera Guild and SiNaCa Glass. The place she would call her second home was Ko’Olina on Oahu, Hawaii where she married Frank and spent many times per year vacationing.Jan is survived by her family, including her husband and best friend, Frank; and her children,Kim Miller and her children, Emily and Dylan,Leslie Buell and Mark Hurley, and their children, Kristen and husband, Matt, and their daughter, Kaya, Lynsay and spouse Lance Burroughs, and Kaylee Buell,Michael Cappuccio and wife, Stormee,Larry Uleman and wife, Vicki, with their children, Isabelle and Christian,Anthony Cappuccio and wife, Nicole, and their children, Chris and Kate.Jan was looking forward to the birth of her first grandson, Jason Luther, to Lynsay due September 24, 2019. Jan is also survived by her twin brother, John Phillip Brooke, brother, Larry Brooke, and sister, Nancy Parrett married to Richard Parrett.She was preceded in death by her parents and her wonderful bonus dad, Carl Warrell, sister, Kay Huntley and spouse, Gene and brother, Carl Warrell.
