Obituary of Col. Edward L. Todd

Colonel Edward L. Todd, USAF(ret.),86, died peacefully at home in Fort Worth on April 20, 2018.Born on November 23, 1931, in Yuma, Tennessee, he joined the Air Force immediately after graduating high school. He served 30 years in the USAF with the rank of Colonel and finally stationed as Wing Commander at Carswell AFB. His military career included service during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.His follow-on careers include being the F-16 Program Director for General Dynamics/Lockheed/Lockheed-Martin in various countries including Egypt, Pakistan and Bangkok, and as a landman for various oil companies including XTO and Chesapeake.His commitment to the Fort Worth community included sitting on many boards, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Casa Manana, and the Fort Worth Airpower Council. His membership organizations included the Masonic Lodge of Bruceton, Tennessee, and the Daedalians. He was also a deacon at the North Fort Worth Baptist Church.We will miss his presence and will cherish the memories he created.He is preceded in death by his wife, Wandalene, and is survived by his two sons, Terry and Tim; his brother, Glyn Todd; and sister, Pearl Rigsby; and several nieces and nephews.
