Obituary of Edmund Charles John Oertel

Edmund Charles John Oertel, age 97, passed away July 31, 2021.He was born August 28, 1923 to Edmund Jakob Oertel and Emma Augusta Kasch and was raised in Rochester, New York. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1945 with an Electrical Engineering degree and enjoyed building radios and photography.He devoted his life to his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Louise Jensen, after 74 years of marriage. One of his greatest joys was the time they spent traveling the world together.He is survived by four children, Susan (Kent), Robert, David, and Edmund; three grandchildren, Cherie, Christi and Chelsea; and 5 great grandchildren, Mia, Haylee, Hudson, Nova and Dash.
