John Rex Nelson, Jr., Dad, Papa John, “Sir-Lawns-A-Lot”, Mr. Kathy, of Richardson, Texas, was called to heaven for eternal rest and unending joy in heaven on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 73 years of age.John is preceded in death by his first wife Mary Jane Fowler Nelson, and his parents Ida Marie Carter and John Rex Nelson Sr.He is survived by wife Kathy Justice Nelson, daughters Jacqueline Marie “Lane” (Sean) Nelson Hlawek and Paige Justice Reno, son Todd Justice, grandchildren Joshua Reno, Kelly Reno, and Rebecca (Nelson) Frech. Siblings Nancy Nelson, Suzy Nelson, Bea Nash, David (Abby) Nelson, and Patti Miramon, several nieces and nephews, and a life full of sweet friends who loved and adored John.
