Obituary of Geneva June Crowley

Geneva June Crowley took her last breath on September 29, 2021 surrounded by family, listening to hymns she loved.Born in Indiana in 1925, she travelled the world, but always considered Texas her home. She graduated from Paschal High School in 1942, was editor of the Pantherette and used her writing skills to garner her first job. She married Captain Robert Crowley, stationed at Carswell Air Field during World War II, in 1945.In the Philippines, Patrick, their first child was born, followed by Michael in Alabama, Kathleen in Turkey and Carolyn and Robert William in Ohio. What a wonderful, creative mother she was, encouraging scholarship, athleticism and artistic endeavors in her children.Above all, there was God in her life. As a member of St. Bartholomew’s Catholic Church she spent hours in fellowship and transcribing sermons that were sent all over the world.She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, sons, Patrick and Robert William, and siblings, Ruth McMillan, Barton, Gordon, Jane and Joe Wheat.Survivors: She is survived by son, Michael (Gigi) of Astoria, Oregon, daughters, Kathleen (Eric) and Carolyn Prather of Fort Worth; and her beloved grandchildren, Angelina, Conor, Leah, Brian, Erin, Caitlin, Emily, Elizabeth, Jessica, Anthony, Timothy; and her great granddaughters, Eleanor and Quinn.
