Obituary of Teresa Ann Butts Miller

Teresa Ann (Butts) Miller, 73, of Arlington, passed away February 1, 2022 after a courageous four year battle with pancreatic cancer. Her strength and resolve during this battle was an inspiration to us all.Teresa was born in Fort Worth in January 1949. She attended Nolan High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan College. She worked for many years at the Texas Department of Human Resources. Teresa was also a volunteer with the Arlington Independent School District for several years taking great pride in her time spent as an Art Docent to elementary students. Teresa loved musical theater, visual and painted arts, crafting, nature and gardening, a good mystery and her pets. Teresa was happiest sharing these loves with her mom and dad, husband, children and grandchildren. Teresa was a talented artist, charming friends and family with her hand-painted cards, quilts, and other crafts. Teresa was a warm and thoughtful person who always remembered to ask about you, even on the hard days.Teresa is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tom Miller, of Arlington; her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Rachael Miller, of Charlotte, Vermont; her daughter and son-in-law, Caitlin Miller and Malcolm Eckel of Washington, D.C.; her brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Sherry Butts, of Hurst; and four grandchildren, Ezra, Phaedra, Sylvie, and Calico Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Mary Butts, of Fort Worth.
