Obituary of Laurie Ann Walters
Laurie Ann Walters, 54, passed with her children by her side on February 5, 2022, after her long battle with cancer. She was born on April 13, 1967, in Chicago, IL to her loving mother Bette Jean Orlando. In her teens she moved to Texas with her family and has resided here since. Laurie was outspoken, loyal, and compassionate. She had a passion for taking care of people, whether it was her family or the elderly, her love was shown through acts of service. Even while going through chemotherapy treatments, she was eager to get back to work and help the residents at the assisted living facility where she worked. Laurie had accepted Jesus in her life and was baptized by her son, Michael. While she is deeply missed here, she is now experiencing her everlasting life.Laurie is preceded in death by her mother, Bette Jean Orlando; and her son, Martin “Marty” Walters.She is survived by her children, Desiree Walters (Andrew), Michael Walters (Jordan), and Jonathon Armstrong; grandchildren, Bryanna Walters, Martin Clement, Nicholas Clement, Kaylee Bolton, Gabriel Bolton, Jaxon Armstrong, Cameryn Walters, and Micah Walters; great-grandson, Dorian Howard Jr. and brother, John Orlando.
