Obituary of Thomas O. Gay

Tom passed away on October 29, 2018 at home.He was born on November 4th, 1941 in Alabama. Tom attended the Eastman School of Music and Florida State University, where he was a member of ATO fraternity, and received an Executive MBA from Stanford University. He enjoyed a long career in book and journal publishing, concentrating in the disciplines of Psychology and Economics. For the majority of his professional life, Tom lived in New York City and Los Angeles before moving to downtown Fort Worth, where he retired from Harcourt College Publishers.He enjoyed many summers in Fire Island Pines, NY. Tom was an avid reader and enjoyed music and movies. Through the years, Tom helped numerous charitable and non-profit organizations.He is survived by his brother Dr. Robert M. Gay and family of North Carolina. Services will be private.
