Obituary of Peggy Jean Hodges

Peggy Jean Hodges, 88, died peacefully on July 8, 2017.Peggy was born July 30, 1928 in Ranger, Texas to Richard Otto Bundick and Mary Florence Lewis Bundick. She graduated from Ranger High School in 1944. She went on to study nursing at the University of Texas in Arlington and earned a Master’s degree. A resident of Fort Worth for the last 47 years, Peggy was a registered nurse and oncology specialist working at St Joseph Hospital for over 20 years. She was a member of Wedgwood Baptist Church. Peggy was well known for serving oncology patients and their families as well as so many family and friends in their time of need. She also gave countless hours to organizations like the American Cancer Society and Beautiful Feet Ministries with her selflessness and gift of mercy.She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Warren Bundick.She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Pearcy and fiancé, Daniel Lee Rinehart; grandchildren, Mallory Kate and Justin Ross Pearcy; niece, Betty Jean Bundick-Anderson and former spouse, Sam Anderson; nephew, Michael Penn Smith and wife, Linda Beth Smith; great nephew, Robert Cody Anderson; the entire Pearcy family and many dear friends.
