Robert William “Bobby” Brown, 96, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021.Dr. Bobby Brown was born on October 25, 1924 in Seattle, WA to William and Myrtle Brown. He proudly served during the Korean War in a MASH Unit. He played on four World Series Championship teams with the New York Yankees while attending and graduating from Medical School from Tulane. After an eight-year career with the Yankees, Dr. Brown retired and opened a private cardiology practice in Fort Worth. He also served as MLB American League President from 1984 – 1994.Bobby married his wife, Sara, in 1951 and they were married for 60 years before her death in 2012. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.Survivors: Children, Pete Brown, MD and wife, Sidney, Beverley Dale and husband, Larry, and Kaydee Bailey and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Geren Brown and wife, Laura, Robert W Brown and wife, Ellie, Jeffrey Brown and wife, Amy, Rebecca Brown Kluttz and husband, Lawson, Jack Dale and wife, Jessica, Pete Dale and wife, Alison, Edward Dale and wife, Ashley, Jayne Dale Feste and husband, Joey, Sara Bailey Cardwell and husband, Andrew, and Will Bailey and wife, Ashley; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverley Brown Smith; and a host of extended family.
