Obituary of Richard W. Newhouse

Richard W. (Dick) Newhouse, 87, died Feb. 4, 2022. Dick was born July 17, 1934, to Bernard and Marie Newhouse in Kimberly, WI.As an adult, Dick was active in various community activities – Little League baseball and football, Cub Scouts, Knights of Columbus, St. Andrew Elementary and Nolan Catholic High School school boards, St. Andrew Social Ministry Advisory Council, Schola Cantorum of Texas board, and various church groups. He was a church choir member for more than 60 years, and was a member of Schola Cantorum of Texas for 22 seasons. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs through good years and not-so-good years. In his professional career at General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin, as Director of Total Quality Management, he was in the vanguard of product and process quality change activities in their infancy.Dick is survived by his beloved family: Elaine, his loving wife of 63 years; sons, Richard A., Michael, Gregory (Debbie), and Scott (Shannon); daughters, Ann Newhouse and Laura (Paul) Marshall; grandchildren, Annie (Aaron) Rushton, Zachary (Malia) Newhouse, Delilah (Justin) Bristow, Stephanie & Bethany Ritz, Cole Newhouse, Eve & Grace Marshall; great-grandchildren, Eisley & Elliott Newhouse and Arthur & Henry Rushton; sister, Barbara (Dean) Lemmers; brother, Thomas (Ingrid Steers). Dick was preceded in death by his son, Robert, and his granddaughter, Samantha Newhouse.
