Obituary of William Carr Parrish
William C. “Bill” “Billy Carr” Parish, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the young age of 78.William Carr Parrish was born February 18, 1939 in Texarkana to Lowell and Ruth Claire Parrish. He grew up in Bryan, graduated from TCU and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. He worked for Alcon Laboratories out of college and was an instrumental part of Alcon’s international growth. He worked for A. Brant Company, Bogart Industries and Pierce Trane. In 1980, he started his own business, Mednet, Inc.He was an amazing philanthropist supporting many organizations about which he felt strongly. He was a Lambda Chi Alpha Alumni Sponsor, a Rotarian, a mentor in Junior Achievement, a member of the building committee and a Deacon at University Baptist Church. He was an honorary letterman and past president, and board member of the TCU Frog Club. He was on the board of Union Gospel Mission and a member of The Fort Worth Club and Colonial Country Club. He loved to travel with his wife and family.Wife, Sue Duncan Parrish; children, Carr and wife, Delisa, Duncan and wife, Leslie, Durand and wife, Meredith, and Susan Parrish Smith and husband, Warren; eight grandchildren.
