Obituary of Charlotte Ingram
Charlotte was born in Cairo, IL on March 10, 1935 and graduated high school in 1953 in Dyersburg, TN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Memphis and her Master’s degree at the University of North Texas. Charlotte’s passion and joy was teaching and she made a positive impact on countless children during her 20-year career as an elementary school teacher. She taught 2nd grade at Briarcrest Baptist in Memphis, TN for 10 years and at Weatherford Elementary in Plano, TX for 10 years, where she retired in 1994. She and her husband Bill were avid travelers, exploring the world from China to Africa.While teaching in Plano, she was selected to teach in Lithuania, which was one of the highlights of her career. Her love for her students was tangible, as was her love and care for animals. Her faith guided her throughout her life and interaction with others along her path. She passed away after a brief illness in Fort Worth, TX on February 23, 2022 with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill Ingram, and her parents, Imo and Rex Taft. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Irma McAfee of Fort Worth and her 2 grandchildren, Austin and Brittany McAfee.
