Obituary of Patsy Lou Green Feemster

Patsy Lou Green (Pat) Feemster, 84, died April 21, 2017, at Trinity Terrace Retirement Community in Fort Worth.Pat was born on September 7, 1932, in San Angelo, Texas. An only child, she was adored by her parents, Lounell and Hollis Green, her aunt Bea, and grandmother, Mamaw. They all moved to Fort Worth in 1936. She met the love of her life, Ben Feemster in 1948 at a prayer meeting at her house. Shortly after graduating from Paschal High School in 1950, Ben and Pat married at St. Paul United Methodist Church. They moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he attended Seminary at Emory University, and then returned to Texas where they enjoyed a lengthy career serving United Methodist churches in Central and North Texas. After her children were older she attended and graduated from Texas Wesleyan University. She worked briefly in the Academic Counseling office of Eastfield Community College; however, her true career was being a wife, mother, and grandmother and she excelled at all three.Pat was active in the Woman’s Society for Christian Service and UMW and was a docent at the Amon Carter Museum. She and Ben made countless friends over the years, enjoyed spending time visiting with family, and vacationing in Estes Park. They loved being grandparents and took each grandchild on a special trip. They were avid bridge players and Pat continued to play almost until her death at Trinity Terrace. Pat and Ben also traveled as hosts for Educational Opportunities for many years including several trips to the Holy Land.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ben.Survivors: Son, Ben David Feemster and his wife, Betsy; daughter, Martha Ann Tomasko and her husband, Jay; her four favorite grandchildren Beth Wise (Alex), Kristin Pierson (Josh), Leah Sutphen (Tyler), Michael Wolverton (Devin) and several great grandchildren.
