Obituary of Jack Randall Price

Randy Price, 73, passed away on Saturday, August 21 at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He beat the odds with lymphatic cancer for over ten years until the cancer recently spread to his brain and proved resistant to treatment.Randy was born and raised in Oak Cliff, Texas to Herman Jack Price and Mona Elizabeth Price. He attended Adamson High School, then North Texas State University where he received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. in psychology. He completed an internship in clinical psychology/neuropsychology at Baylor Institute of Rehabilitation. He taught Psychology at Richland College from 1975-2015, and also taught at UT Southwestern Medical School, SMU, and the Graduate College of Psychology in Hawaii. He held board certification in forensic psychology and built a successful private practice in Dallas. He was passionate about his work and well-known for his clarity and sharpness.Randy was dedicated to his wife Kay, his daughter Elizabeth, his dog Walker, his colleagues at Price|Proctor Clinical and Forensic Psychology, as well as his numerous friends and family members. He was well known for his sense of humor and intelligence. He enjoyed travel, reading and fishing, but most of all, work. He easily won over strangers wherever he went with his charm and wit.He is survived by wife, Kay Stevens; daughter, Elizabeth Price, as well as her mother, Ann Wolny; six nieces and nephews and their children. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Mona and Jack Price, and his brothers, Donald and Gerald Price.
