Frannie and my momma grew up together in Cumberland, Maryland. They kept in close touch over the years, andwheni was looking at colleges to attend in 1982, she told us about Texas Women’s University, for which Frannie was a Regent, and my best choice, Texas Christian University.
During my time at TCU, Uncle Eddie and Aunt Frannie were my family. We attended church together, saw many baseball games together, and I spent so much time at the house to get some much needed off campus rest.
In 1993 I flew to Ft. Worth for Uncle Eddie’s funeral , surprising Aunt Frannie. I couldn’t NOT be therefor her.
When I married my husband David in 1998, Frannie was front and center at the church, and such a blessing to e and my family when we visited in 2004. Fran knew how to make each person she encountered feel special, unique, and most importantly LOVED.
My heart is hurting today, that I missed attending her celebration of life, but knowing she, Eddie, momma, and my husband are together again in Heaven brings me joy.
As the Lord said in the Bible: Well done my good and faithful servant, well done.
