Obituary of Wendell Polk Ward
Wendell Polk Ward, 72 passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on March 6, 2023, after a short illness.
He was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Earleen and Robert L. Ward. He earned a BA in Finance from UTA after graduating from Paschal High School. Wendell worked as an independent manufacturer’s representative for over 35 years.
He married Sharon Kay Ward August 3, 1991. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Fort Worth. Over the years, his hobbies included hunting, fishing, scuba diving, racquetball, tennis, and horses.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ward; son, Christopher Morrison; granddaughters, Makenna and Irelyn Harlow Morrison. He is also survived by his brother, Warren Ward; cousin, Susie Silman; and brother-in-law, Grady Adams and wife Tanya.
A Cowboys Celebration of Life will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a reception immediately following, Saturday, April 15 at Thompson’s Harveson & Cole, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., River Oaks, Texas 76114. The family has requested western wear/casual attire.
