Obituary of Vienna Lee Dalton

Vienna Lee Dalton, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and those she loved on April 28, 2023. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife and mother who poured her heart into her family and to God.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas to Raleigh Edward Adams and Esther Pauline (Lee) Adams, Vienna grew up and spent her youth in Kennedale and Mansfield, graduating Mansfield High School in 1957. Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Gary Dalton, and remained soul mates with him for the rest of her life. She dedicated her life to the Lord, and was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Mansfield. Throughout her life she frequently enjoyed teaching Sunday school to both children and adults.

Vienna developed an appreciation for art later in life, and loved to both draw and paint. She leaves behind hundreds of oil paintings that will always be very special to her family. She also enjoyed nature’s beauty, bird watching, and loved her many canine companions over the years. The family wishes all to know of Vienna’s gentle and giving spirt, her loving kindness to others, and her faithful devotion to her family and to God, which never wavered.

Vienna was preceded in death by her parents, Raleigh Edward Adams and Esther Pauline (Lee) Adams. Vienna is survived by her husband, Gary Dalton, of Mansfield, Texas; her son Chris Dalton, of Mansfield, Texas; her son Brian Dalton and wife, Elizabeth Dalton, of Fort Worth, Texas; her sister Geneva Hardcastle and husband David Hardcastle, of Delaware, Ohio; her nephew Terry Hardcastle, of Delaware, Ohio; her nephew Dallas Hardcastle, of Columbus, Ohio her great niece Gabby Hardcastle, of Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, for the special job for which they have performed, and for the loving care for which they provided, the family sends their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at The Westmore.

Services will be held at the family mausoleum in Greenwood Memorial Park, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107 on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:00AM.
