I know Billy from jasons Deli in abilene. he would come in to eat any time he was in town.
I remember one day, an employee came up to me and told me there was a grumpy man up front that wanted to speak to a manager....as a approached I was nervous that I was going to get yelled at or whatever....little did I know I was going to make a life long friend, from that moment on I would ensure anytime I was in the building and he came in I was the one who was taking his order, making it, and taking it out there to him....we would just sit and talk the whole time he was there.....about his family and my family, he knew to never leave till he gave me a good bye hug, it makes me so sad to know I will not be able to hug his neck again until I get to where he is.
He was one of the sweetest men I have met, when I saw him walking through those doors it would make my day so much better.
He loved his family more then anything and would always show me pictures of everyone.
It was a blessing to have met him, I hate to see him go but I do know he is definitely in a beautiful place looking down at everyone and is so proud of the legacy he left behind.
