Obituary of Frank Odell Clark
On August 16th, 2023, Frank Odell Clark of Fort Worth, Texas left us to be with his Lord and Savior. Complications arising from spinal surgery were more than he could overcome and he passed away peacefully with his wife of 62 years by his side.
Frank is survived by his wife Beverly, son Scott, daughter Kristen Baldridge and her husband Jon, as well as their two daughters Dylan and Evan.
Frank was born August 24th, 1938, in Fort Worth, and graduated from Trimble Tech High School. He served proudly in the US Navy as flight deck crew member aboard the USS Shangri-La. Excluding his time in the Navy, and a short transfer to Fort Wayne, IN while working for General Dynamics, Frank lived in Fort Worth all of his life. He loved anything related to airplanes, had earned his student pilot’s license at an early age, and never passed up a chance to “take the stick’ if it was offered.
Some of the best and happiest years of his life were spent coaching Scott and Kristen in multiple sports at Blue Raider Athletic Association, where he also served on the board of directors for many years. Frank was loved, not only by his family, but also respected and admired for his ethics, expertise, and honesty by many through decades of business in North Texas. He has been described as a “giant in the industry” and “one of a kind.”
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24th, 2023, at Thompson’s Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Burial will be private at Laurel Land Memorial Park on August 25th.
Memorials: The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Frank’s favorite charity, Missions Arlington.
