Ryan James Berry, 30, was born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 9, 1993, and grew up in Keller, Texas where he attended Keller High School. As a youth, he played baseball and football but soon discovered his real passion–the love of music; a passion he shared with his mom that stayed with him throughout his life.
As a young adult, Ryan was an avid gamer, loved to cook and enjoyed gardening. He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching the games with his dad. His guilty pleasures were the Star Wars and Harry Potter franchises and slapstick comedies. He also loved the Christmas season and took great pleasure in waking his parents and sister up well before sunrise on Christmas Day. Ryan found peace and solace in nature. His favorite places to be were the beach and the mountains.
To know Ryan well was to recognize his larger-than-life personality and his sensitive and kind heart. His booming laugh and smile could fill a room and make everyone else laugh with him. He was fiercely protective of his family, individuals with special needs, the elderly, and animals. Some of Ryan’s biggest cheerleaders and confidantes in life were his grandmothers, Jacqueline Berry and Donna Walker. Ryan’s pride and joy was his daughter Sophia Grace and his two rescue dogs, Ozzy and Harley. He avidly took photos of the three of them and proudly shared them with his family.
Ryan left an indelible mark in the hearts of those that knew him best and he will be forever missed.
Ryan was preceded in death by his paternal Grandfather Jim Berry, Uncle Mark Berry, Uncle Bill McClure, and beloved childhood rescue dog, Heidi “Heidi Bug” Berry.
He is survived by his parents George and Knikki Berry, sister Ashley Berry, daughter Sophia Bowden, grandmothers Jacqueline Berry and Donna Walker, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
