I met Frank in the mid-1980’s, when our responsibilities intersected at General Dynamics. I was an entry-level engineer and Frank was a manager. It turned out that we were both natives of southwestern Pennsylvania. That was the starting point for a friendship that was beneficial to me until I retired in 2014. Frank, it turned out, was not a typical manager in 1980’s ‘GD’. He was egalitarian, and he liked to have fun whenever possible. Frank was collaborative. He generously shared his insight and knowledge. Time spent working with Frank broadened my perspective, and positively influenced my career. Over the 30+ years that I knew him, it was ALWAYS a pleasure to encounter Frank, at work or around town. Goodness, with a smile, is his legacy. I was fortunate to have known him.
