Obituary of Mary Louise Gashi

Mary Louise Laubenthal Gashi, 76, passed away on January 17, 2025.

Born in Raymondville, Texas to Edward and Irene (Denham) Laubenthal, Mary moved to Fort Worth as a young child and attended St. Mary Catholic School, Forest Oak Middle School, and graduated from Trimble Tech High School in Fort Worth.

Mary was a devoted mother to her son and daughter who were stars in her eyes. She loved her children with all of her heart and was proud of every accomplishment they achieved. As a devoted church member of St. Rita's Catholic Church, Mary loved to sing in the church choir for over 30 years. She loved to sing and praise the Lord with her devout faith. Even so much, she aspired to be a country western singing in her youth. Mary enjoyed gardening, watching movies, and seeing her children and grandchildren. They always brought a smile to her face.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Edward Patrick Jr. and John Boyd.

Mary is survived by her husband, Rusty of Fort Worth, Texas; son Adam and Sara Gashi and their daughter Savannah of Azle, Texas; daughter Laila and Todd Vetkoetter and their children CJ and Teagan of Watauga, Texas; and her sister, Cecilia and Bruce Barthen of Show Low, Arizona.

A Memorial Service will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, January 22 at Thompson Harveson & Cole, 4350 River Oaks Blvd. Fort Worth, Texas 76114.

A Graveside Service will be at 10:00am, Thursday, January 23 at Shannon Rose Hill, 7301 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, Texas 76112.
