Obituary of William Michael Christopher
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William Michael "Mike" Christopher on March 1, 2025. A devoted husband and father, loyal friend, and the best "Pop" anyone could ask for, he lived a life full of loyalty, laughter, and generosity.
Mike loved his family and friends—his genuine nature and wit made everyone feel welcome. He was generous beyond measure in all areas of his life, whether offering a word of advice, a round of golf, or preparing the best spaghetti and meat sauce. His generosity wasn’t just in what he gave, but in how he showed up for the people he loved.
A lifelong golfer, he spent as much time as possible on the course, enjoying the game and the company of many friends. Some of his best stories came from his many rounds on courses across the country. He loved to travel and discover new places to play, a passion instilled in him early by his beloved parents, Bob and Jo Anne Christopher, who preceded him in death.
Above all, he was a proud and dedicated "Pop." Whether cheering Virginia on at games, buying her ridiculously huge stuffed animals, introducing her to "old people movies," or sharing his best life lessons and jokes, he made sure she knew she was loved beyond measure.
Mike will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, the friendships he built, and the family he adored. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 40 years, Charissa; his daughter, Annie, and son-in-law, Tim; his son, John; his granddaughter, Virginia; and his favorite furry friend, Cap.
A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 10:30. It will be held at Thompson's Harveson and Cole in their Drawing Room, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, 76114. Please dress casual for this gathering of friends, Mike disliked funerals and would not want people attending to be wearing black or suits. Please come dressed as if you were going to eat lunch with Mike at one of his favorite restaurants, or play a round of golf with him.
