Obituary of Stella Mae Daniel Barber

Stella Mae Barber, 99, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018.Stella Mae was born August 13, 1919 and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree in religion and business from Texas Women’s University in Denton, marrying the love of her life, Quentin, her senior year. They were married 77 years. She retired after many years as a secretary for TCU’s Development Department, as well as working for Christian Church Southwest. She and Quentin were longtime members of South Hills Christian Church. She was a devout TCU supporter, enjoyed water skiing and bridge with friends, and reading. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.Stella Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Quentin, and her older brother, P. Hicks Daniel Jr.She is survived by her children: Diane Smith and husband Joe (deceased), Dana Barber and wife, Nancy, and Daniel Barber; her grandchildren, Kimberley Davis and husband, Ian, Michael Barber and wife, Caryn, their mother Candy Barber, Melissa Sherman and husband, Mike, Karen Davis and husband, JD, Tai and Quinn Barber, and 11 great-grandchildren.
