Obituary of Charlie F. Low

Charlie F. Low died at his home in Fort Worth, TX on February 2, 2021. He was 88 years old. He was born in Lowake on October 2, 1932 to Robert S. Low and Flora Sutton Low. Charlie attended school in Eola, graduating in May 1950. After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force. Charlie married his high school sweetheart, Maxene Jacoby, on June 1, 1952. He graduated from San Angelo Junior College in 1959 and Texas Technical College, now Texas Tech University, in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Charlie and Maxene completed their family with two daughters, and loved watching their family grow as husbands and grandchildren and then great-grandchildren joined them. Charlie worked for 30 years for the Texas Department of Transportation, retiring in 1985 as District 7 Maintenance Engineer. He worked an additional 10 years after retirement for CSA, a division of Reece Albert. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Riley Low. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maxene, his daughters Sarilyn Lucas and husband Mitch of Fort Worth and Marilyn Foster and husband Edward (Ted) of Lafayette, IN. He is also survived by his grandchildren Julie Enlow and husband Jeremy of Weatherford, Laura Palekar and husband Nikhil of Redwood City, CA, and Bryan Foster and wife Alexandra Lindenmuth of Palmdale, CA. Additionally, he is survived by his great-grandchildren Noah Enlow, Elizabeth Enlow, and Clara Enlow of Weatherford, and Shri Palekar and Raj Palekar of Redwood City, CA., as well as his brother Everett Low of Dallas and sister-in-law Louise Bledsoe of San Angelo, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Charlie.
