Obituary of Zelda Lorraine France

Zelda Lorraine France, age 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at her home in Cresson, Texas.She was born in San Jose, California on February 3, 1935 to Thomas and Mary Rodrigues. As the oldest of three daughters of Portuguese immigrants, she grew up farming apricots in California. After graduating high school, Zelda worked as a newspaper editor when she met and married Bob France on December 7, 1956. She enjoyed swimming, loved children and was always up for a trip to play the nickel slots.Prior to moving to Cresson, TX, she and Bob lived in Prescott, Arizona for 35 years where they had many dear friends and neighbors. She was also actively involved in the Prescott Noon Lioness Club.She is survived by her husband of 63 yrs, Bob France; sisters, Edna Yow (Gene) and Rosemary Bonnes; sons, Scott France (Kittie) and Dennis France (Silvia); granddaughters, Katelyn Lorraine Been (Tanner) and Jennifer France Busing, (Jake); and grandson, Kolton Zepecki-France; and her favorite great-granddaughter, Palmer Faith Been along with many cousins and friends. Zelda is preceded in death by her oldest son, Bobby Ray France, and both her parents.
