Obituary of Patricia Maria Ratti Oestricher
Patricia Maria (Ratti) Oestricher passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020, after a long illness.Born on June 10, 1931, in Chuquicamata, Chile, she married Philip Oestricher on December 27, 1952, graduated with him from the University of Florida, and walked with him during his long career as a test pilot. After raising four children, she had a long and successful career with the Kimbell Art Museum library, a position she enjoyed so much that she continued working long beyond her retirement.She served as president of the Greater Fort Worth Herb Society and enjoyed reading, art, gardening, and travel.She is preceded in death by her husband Phil, her parents, Aldo and Marie Ratti, her brother Joe Ratti, her daughter-in-law Kathryn Oestricher, and numerous beloved cats.She is survived by daughter, Linda Furlet and husband, Brooke Furlet; son, Richard Oestricher; daughter, Lauri Oestricher; and son, John Oestricher and wife Lisa Ross; she is also survived by three grandchildren, Elizabeth (Furlet) Riley and husband, Shawn Riley, Richard “Ricky” Oestricher and fiancee, Alison Leven, and Joshua Oestricher and wife, Heather; and one great-grandson, Lucas Riley. Through her brother Joe, she is survived by her two nephews, Steven Ratti and James “Jim” Ratti and Jim’s family.
