Obituary of Sylvia Mae Voda Howard
Sylvia Mae Howard, 65, passed away on June 9 at her home.Sylvia was born on October 24, 1951 in Phillips, Wisconsin to Frank and Mamie Voda. She grew up in Phillips, and attended Phillips High School. A stay at home mom for many years, she later worked for 17 years at the Austin Blood Center as a tele-recruiter. She proudly remembered each baby she saved through her work recruiting rare blood donors.Sylvia enjoyed gardening, cooking, and artistic pursuits. She was an outstanding stained glass artist and her work was featured in local magazines.In addition to her parents Frank and Mamie Voda, she was preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth, Harley, and David Voda and sisters Frances Boglitsch and Delores Salek.She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Howard-Schwind and son-in-law Michael Schwind; grandson Nicholas and granddaughter Natalie of Midlothian, Texas; sister Sandra Barber of Phillips; and many nieces and nephews across the country.
