Obituary of Jeffery Eugene Ward

Jeffrey E Ward, the President, owner of Eagle Audio Recording Studio died September 21, 2018.Jeff was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. He graduated from Trinity Valley School at the age of sixteen.He worked several jobs before attending Eastfield Junior College in Dallas, where he majored in Music Theory and Composition. After several other jobs he began working at the Stevens Corporation in 1977, where he remained until 1982. While there, he became Vice-president for Manufacturing, attended TCJC, studying computer programing and operations, and developed numerous business programs streamlining efficiency. In 1987 he began his recording career with a couple of friends. After a few years he joined Eagle Audio as recording engineer. In 1996 he purchased Eagle Audio.During his career he engineered a number of jingles, commercials and videos, several albums, production numbers for the Miss Texas pageant, and a score for a Robert Rodriquez film. His work has won several local Addy awards and a national Telly award. In addition, he worked as production engineer and announcer for “Wheels”, a weekly car-talk show on KLIF radio, and the studio engineer for “AudioStar”, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram’s audio newspaper.He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Johnsey; brother, Chris Ward and wife Judy Jo; two sisters, Courtney Baker and husband Bob, and Kimberly Yarwood and husband Mike; two nieces, Allyson Rapacki and husband Chris, and Katie Helton and husband Chris; two nephews Russell Yarwood and wife Ashley and Zach Yarwood; four great nephews.
