Obituary of Jennie Wren Strange Parr
Jennie Wren Strange was born on November 25, 1934 and raised in the tiny town of Walnut Springs, TX. Shortly after graduating from high school, she moved to Fort Worth. She got a job at a local oil company and lived in a boarding house for young women in the hospital district of Fort Worth.Jennie met Charles Parr, began dating and on February 10, 1956 became Jennie Wren Parr. Charles and Jennie raised four children – Charlotte, Nancy, Joe, and Kevin.In addition to being a full time mother, Jennie was a talented seamstress, cook and artist. She taught sewing classes and owned a small business as a cosmetic salesperson and makeup artist. Charles preceded her in death in 1993. Later in life, she developed a love for the game of golf and spent many hours playing with friends in the Arlington, TX area. She enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends.She is survived by her children, Charlotte Parr and Ann Talley, Nancy and Andrew Robinson, Joe and Greta Parr, Kevin and Sheila Parr. Grandchildren, Caitlin Smith, Casey Parr, Preston Parr, Aubrey Parr, Chandler Parr and Carson Parr. Great Grandchildren , Conway Smith, Cosner Smith and Calhoun Smith.
