Obituary of Michael Sherwood Talbert

Michael Sherwood Talbert, passed from this life on February 3, after a long illness, at the age of 57 years.Michael was born in Houston, Texas, to Mack and Elaine Talbert on October 18, 1960. The new family moved when he was two months old to Fort Worth in January 1961, where Michael spent his childhood and graduated from Paschal High School in 1979.Michael was a talented musician and exceptional guitar player. He became the late-night, on-air personality for KTRL radio station in Terrell, Texas, and then moved on to be the keynote, popular DJ and sound/video tech at Billy Bob’s Texas for many years. He joined Eagle Audio as audio/visual engineer, and his work included many venues, including sound engineering for many well-known recording artists, major golf tournaments, FW Stock Show and the State Fair of Texas.Michael loved to travel, dearly loved his family, his friends, his work and work families, the Dallas Cowboys and the TCU Horned Frogs. He touched the lives of so many with his kindness and friendship, with his easy quick wit and unfailing sense of humor, and he will be deeply missed. Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ben and Sybil Rickerson, his cousin Madison Butler, and his beloved shadow, Sonny, dachshund extraordinaire.He is survived by his parents Mack and Elaine Talbert of Fort Worth; brother, David and wife, Kelly Talbert; his brother, Drew Talbert and wife, Kathy Talbert; his sister, Jennifer Talbert Frank and her children, Hannah Frank and Ross Frank; and his nephews, Jeremy Talbert and Kyle Jones; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.
