Obituary of Patrick Erbrick Franko

Patrick Erbrick Franko, 68 – owner of Franko’s Market – passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019, after a short battle with brain cancer.Patrick E. Franko was never married or had any children, his love was Franko’s Market, aka “The Store”, located on the Northside of Fort Worth. The Northside community was Pat’s extended family. He dedicated his time to the benefit of the neighborhood and always tried to find ways to help others. He was a pillar in the community and he displayed his love to everyone that walked into the store. He donated the Southside of the building for the Northside High School Mariachi Band mural and participated in the celebration of it’s dedication. He hosted many neighborhood gatherings and meetings at the store.Pat loved movies, old and new, and enjoyed critiquing them with his buddies. He liked to talk philosophy, tell jokes and was quite the prankster. He loved to play games, especially pinochle and spades. He was an avid sports fanatic. He loved to play softball, racquetball and tennis, but nothing exceeded his love of the Dallas Cowboys. His smile, sense of humor and genuine nature will be missed.Pat was preceded in death by his parents Edmund and Yarmilla Franko, and his brothers Michael, Matthew and Mark.Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Timothy and wife Charlene, Paul and wife Carrie, sister, Barbara Dalton and husband Todd; nieces and nephews, Adrian Lee and husband Michael, Leslie, Christopher, Michael and Charles Franko, Jennifer, Jackie and Dustin Underwood and Chad Dalton; great nieces and nephews, Claire and Jack Lee and Zoey UnderwoodBecause of Pat’s strong Catholic faith, his family takes comfort in knowing he is with God.
