Obituary of Zachary Aaron Harris
Zachary Aaron Harris
December 21, 1982 ~ January 24, 2024
Zach’s untimely death was not indictive of his life. He was a much loved and valued member of our family. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother & nephew, but where he really shone was his uncle status. His nieces and nephews were his joy whether he was tossing them into the pool endlessly or being used as a horse to transport them from room to room. Zachary’s infectious sense of humor kept us all entertained.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Guinn, and grandparents, Willie and Joyce Harris, who welcomed him with surprise and delight when he walked into heaven with his signature handshake hug.
Zach will be immeasurably missed by his Mom and Dad, Kerri and Jim Harris; sister, Tyler Jade Harris; brother, Gage and wife, Noelle; sister, Caitie Whitley and husband, Brandon; sister, Shanlee Bennett and husband, Mitch; grandparents, Mary and Jim Bassett; grandmother, Patty Guinn; aunt, Christie Thomas and husband, Mike; uncle/best friend, Ian Bassett and wife, Ashley; uncle, Willie Harris III and wife, Roberta; uncle, John Harris and wife, Lynn; cousins, Hannah Ray, Pace Storey, and Atticus Bassett. The sun always shone brightest on his cherished nieces and nephews, Aidan, Harlow, Rowan, and Lydan Harris, Riggs and Scout Whitley, and Slayton and Prezlee Bennett who will miss their uncle Zachy. To Zachary family was everything and with that his large extended family and friends the void of this loss will be felt deeply.
Zachary never left you without saying “I Love You” and with our hearts shattered, we firmly believe that God will lift us up and keep us going with the knowledge that we will see him again one day.
