Bert befriended me when I was a very young artist... still in my early teens. She sold my modest little painting in her cozy Latch-String Gallery; which was a great encouragement. A few years later I ended up in New Orleans and began selling art on Jackson Square. Under the guidance of Ron Zappe (Zapp's Potato Chips) my art career took off when I joined Liberty Gallery on Royal Street, for many years. So I have spent my life enjoying a wonderful professional career in fine art! Bert was a angle to that young artist... beautiful spirit.
